Rug Cleaners for Oriental rugs, Handmade rugs & Wool rugs
We’re rug cleaners specializing in cleaning oriental rugs, handmade rugs and wool rugs. The rug cleaning plant is located at 10 Spencer Street in Lebanon, NH. The brick building, at the head of the Rail Trail, was constructed in the 1890’s to be a railroad warehouse.
In 1999 Keith Beardslee began developing the rug cleaning plant to meet the need for professional rug cleaning in the Upper Valley – Lake Sunapee Region. The nearest rug cleaning plant was in Massachusetts. And it was clear that the carpet cleaning approach simply could not thoroughly clean rugs made of wool, cotton or silk.
The difference between carpet cleaning and rug cleaning is reviewed in this video.
Between 2000 and 2012, the rug cleaning plant was a part of Elite Cleaning, a carpet and upholstery cleaning business that serves the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire and Vermont.
In 2012 the rug cleaning plant evolved into RealClean Rugs, a distinct business specializing in washing oriental rugs, handmade rugs and wool rugs.
RealClean Rugs cleans all types of rugs including antique, tribal, and modern hand knotted oriental rugs and flat weaves. Most of the rugs we clean were woven in the traditional rug weaving areas of the world including Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, China and Tibet.
We also clean power loomed (machine woven) rugs like Karastans and designer rugs like bordered Wiltons. And we clean needlepoint (embroidered) rugs, hooked rugs, braided rugs, rag rugs and flokatis.
In October 2017, former employee Cara Eliason and her partner, John, transitioned into owning and managing RealClean Rugs.
